“Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray.”  1 John 3:7

Throughout the ages, man has been constantly led astray.  Today we see it through advertising, marketing gimmicks and false teaching.  Yes, there are a myriad of false teachers among us.  Those who teach salvation by any means other than by the blood of Jesus Christ are certainly false teachers.  Those who tell us that we all serve the same God are false teachers as well as those who claim that things are getting better all the time.  The world, through the devil’s influence, believes that if we would just accept all of the teachings of the different religions that somehow this would lead to world peace.  Jesus refuted that idea very clearly long ago.  In John 14:27 Jesus spoke these words, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.  I do not give to you as the world gives.  Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid”.  Man will not and cannot live peacefully together because of the enemy’s wicked, evil influence upon the world.  Peace, real peace, will only occur under the sovereign reign of Jesus Christ.

Satan, according to the Scriptures, is the father of lies and will continue to deceive the world into believing a false sense of security.  As we have seen in our study of Daniel, it seems as though the players of that time are lining up in power today.  We know that during the time of the Tribulation under the influence of the Antichrist, there will be a time of short lived “false” peace.  During that time, man will once again be deceived by the evil one.  Mankind, most of them in the world at that time, will be convinced (willfully or forcefully) to take the mark of the Beast and to give complete allegiance to the Antichrist.  Peace will once again be a great deception as mankind will never experience real peace without Jesus.

What about you today?  Are you experiencing the real peace that comes through submission to the only real authority … Jesus?  You see, although we live in the midst of a world in chaos and anything but peace, we can know an inner peace with God that comes only through His Son.  Are you looking for the peace the world offers through numerous outlets or do you have true peace through Christ?  There is such a sense of urgency all around us.  I have mentioned the term urgency many times lately.  There is, among Christians, an energized feeling and a desire for the return of Jesus for His Church.  It will be quick and only for those who are prepared.  The way to be prepared is by repenting of your sins, asking Jesus to forgive you and receiving Him as Savior.  Have you done that?  If so, peace abounds in your life and you will experience eternal life.  If not, you are dead in your sins and without the blessed assurance of life and peace with Christ.  May you experience the true peace of Jesus as you grow in relationship with Him and share His love with others.

We love you,
Brad and Virginia
