Visitor Information

Thank you for checking us out online.  Attending a new church for the first time can be an intimidating thought.  "Where do I park?" "Which door do I go in?" "Where's the bathroom?".  On this page you'll find some helpful information that we hope will make your first visit a pleasurable one.

When does service start and how long does it last?

Sunday School begins at 9:45 am, but don't be surpised if it is more like 10.  Our worship leader Jason Crosson get's everything rolling at 11 and you'll be saying your goodbyes and "See you laters" a little after Noon eastern.

How do people dress on Sunday Morning?

We are a come as you are church.  Jeans, slacks, shorts, dresses, rompers, suit and tie, all of these are seen on a Sunday Morning.  During footballs season expect to see people wear school colors espcially if their team won the night before.

What style of worship music is sung?

There is a good mix of contemporary and classic hymns used in our worship.  We are lead by Jason and our Praise Band.  Lyrics are provided on the screens at the front of the church, and hymnals can be found in the pews.

What translation of the Bible does Plant City Baptist use?

We use the NIV (New International Version) bible translation.  Key scriptures are put on the screen as well.

What about my kids?

We have a volunteer run Nursery for children up to age 3.  Kids age 3 to 2nd grade are invited to attend "Sprout City".  Sprout City dismisses after the last worship song before the Pastor starts his message.  During Sprout City your child we hear a Bible Lesson, participate in a craft, and maybe have a light snack, we don't want to ruin your lunch plans. During Sunday School the Nursery is available, and there is a Pre-School class, and a class for 1st through 6th grade.  7th grade through 12th grade meet in the Youth Room.
